Violinist Liza Ferschtman performs Bartók's poetic 'Violin Concerto No. 1' in The AVROTROS Friday Concert of Friday the 16th of November 2018, together with The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Slobodeniouk. Bartók’s ‘Violin Concerto’ was dedicated to violinist Stefi Geyer, with whom Bartók was in love. Geyer didn’t feel the same and sadly rejected the concerto. After both Bartók and Geyer died, the concert got revived by conductor Paul Sacher and violinist Hansheinz Schneeberger.
