They are really big and ahead of schedule all eyes are open and 1 or 2 can perch in the entrance so the first may leave within 3 or 4 days. Rare chance to observe live behavior of Great Crested Flycatchers with 5 healthy chicks! Great Crested Flycatchers are amazing and charismatic birds. They fill their nest with snake skins and regularly pluck hair from animals and feathers from ducks and other big birds to add to their nest - even pull pet and human hair. They are loud, large and colorful birds that have nested off and on in the Florida Backyard for the past 8 years.
