Dwyane Wade missed a three-pointer as time expired and the Timberwolves held on to defeat the Heat by a final score of 111-109. Gorgui Dieng (4 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Dario Saric (7 rebounds, 5 assists) led the Timberwolves with 19 points in the victory. Wade led the Heat with a game-high 24 points (8-16 FG), to go with 3 rebounds and 3 assists, while Dion Waiters totaled 22 points (6-12 3pt FG) in the losing effort. With the win, the Timberwolves improve to 36-43, while the Heat fall to 38-41 on the season.

The Heat currently sit in 9th place in the Eastern Conference, 1.0 game behind the 8-seed Nets.
