Jean Rondeau plays Scarlatti: Sonata K.481

Released on 19 October 2018: Jean Rondeau has selected 15 of the 500+ keyboard sonatas composed by Naples-born Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) at the royal court in Madrid.
Many of these works – compact, captivating, often dazzling – are permeated with dynamic Spanish rhythms, but Sonata K 481 has a quiet, haunting melancholy.
