Cinnamon Fried Dumplings
Ingredients:
3 cups self rising flour (or plain flour with 2 tsp baking powder)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup whole or almond milk
1 cup vegetable oil
Method:
Step 1
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and add to food processor. Add in the butter.
Step 2
Add milk then water gradually and mix until a firm dough is formed. This should take 3 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the dough from the food processor and Section the dough into 8 or 16 pieces and roll into balls. Rest for 10 minutes covered with a tea towel.
Step 4
Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat for 1 minute before placing in the dough balls.
Step 6
Fry for 5 minutes turning occasionally until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels and serve whilst warm.
