Orphaned Baby Squirrels Rescued

Mini-Documentary of the rescue of two newborn squirrel kits or kittens as their babies are called. Mother Gray Squirrel chases a Screech Owl out of his box in mid December and proceeds to make a nest and deliver two kits or kittens as baby squirrels are called at the end of December. The Florida Backyard squirrels usually have two liters a year in early spring and Fall. Late December is an odd time for a squirrel to be giving birth. I can't recall that happening before. In any case, something bad happened to the mother are her helpless kits had to be rescued. If you ever drop off an animal for care at a wildlife rehabilitation center please remember to give a generous donation. They are typically non-profit, staffed largely by volunteers and have limited budgets and any donations really help out in their mission of caring for animals.
