Star countertenor Philippe Jaroussky steps once again into the shoes of Orfeo, this time in the masterpiece by Christoph Willibald Gluck which revolutionised opera. This is the world-premiere recording of the 1774 Napoli version, with its higher vocal part for the title roles and its luminous orchestral sounds. Featuring I Barocchisti, sopranos Amanda Forsythe and Emőke Baráth and conductor Diego Fasolis.
