The Netherlands Radio Choir under the baton of Peter Dijkstra performs a beautiful program with music by Pärt, Forte, Kodály, Penderecki, Kurtag, Rachmaninoff and Schnittke, live in the beautiful Jacobi Church in Utrecht.
Organ player Leo van Doeselaar joins the choir with Kodály's 'Laudes organi', in which the traditional division of roles is turned around.
The choir turns its nose to the East, where the traditional Russian Orthodox choir tradition is always present. One of the best examples of this tradition in the 20th century is Schnittke's 'Concert for choir'.
