A monkey is born out of a divine stone, granting him incredible supernatural powers. He uses his powers to raise havoc in the Heavens, battling the armies of the gods and enraging the demons, a rebellion that causes him to be imprisoned under a mountain for 500 years. Discovering that The Monkey King’s power may also be used for good, the monk, Xuanzang, trains him to fight with him on the journey to India.
