1. Swiss firm not extending maintenance deal for India's PC-7 trainers.
According to a Ministry of Defence official, The maintenance contract for the Indian Air Force's 75 PC-7 Turbo Trainers will not be extended.
The aircraft, manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland and acquired in 2012, was under a maintenance deal that expired in December 2016.
The official also added , that The follow-on guarantee of further 36 months beyond December 2016 is not being cleared by MoD on grounds of steep price.

2. Indian Air Force Issues Request for Information For 7 SIGINT Aircraft.
The Indian Air Force has floated out a Request for Information (RfI) for seven signals intelligence (SIGINT) and communications jamming aircraft.
As per the requirement, IAF is looking for five aircraft that should be suitably integrated by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and certified for signal intelligence (SIGINT) and communications jamming (COMJAM) duties and other two for SIGINT role
The IAF intends to push forward the contest with a possible RFP in the second quarter of 2018 and a stipulated delivery start 24 months from contract signature

3. Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine ready for complete Tech Transfer of Stealth Submarines.
German conglomerate ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems is banking on its vast experience in design and construction of submarines / and the fact that it has delivered subs for coastal and blue water deployment to the navies of 19 countries, to help deliver India’s next-generation submarines, the P-75(I).
Gurnad Sodhi, Managing Director, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems India said, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems will be happy to provide complete transfer of technology to the Navy for the AIP system for P75-I.
