Sturgeon are huge fish that can live for up to 100 years. During the extreme drought conditions in western states, abnormal numbers of sturgeon have been dying off. Washington state Fish and Wildlife officers hit the Columbia River to educate fisherman about the closure of the sturgeon fishery and document any new dead sturgeon for further study.
