More than 100 places worldwide have the name Berlin. The documentary shows a day in Berlin, the German capital, and six other Berlins around the globe.
Part 1:
This travel documentary tells stories from distant, exotic worlds that are connected only by the name Berlin. It starts early in the morning with a street cleaner on Berlin's Alexanderplatz, then moves to Berlin in Russia to meet a bus driver ferrying children to school through the icy cold, whilst in Berlin, Papua New Guinea, it's already afternoon and children are bathing in the sea and a fisherman is taking home the day's catch. The documentary effortlessly negotiates kilometers, climates and time zones, alternating between Bolivia, Guinea, Germany, El Salvador, Ohio, Papua New Guinea and Russia - and always lands in Berlin.
