Climate heroes - carbon neutral living | DW Documentary (Environment documentary)

Global warming is one of the biggest threats to humanity. Carbon dioxide emissions have never been so high.
Karin Beese and her family refuse to look on helplessly. They want to reduce their carbon footprint. Karin Beese, her husband and their three daughters have changed their lives. They no longer fly, they buy as regionally as possible, grow their own vegetables, bike instead of drive. They also do their best to convince their relatives, friends and acquaintances of an alternative, carbon neutral lifestyle. The family is taking part in an experiment by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. The goal is to reduce their carbon footprint by 40 percent within a few months.
