Northern Mockingbird Singing

The amazing sounds of a male Northern Mockingbird showing off his song repertoire is a sure sign of spring and start of nesting season. In the same mimic family as Catbirds and Brown Thrashers, this bird family is known for singing improvisation almost like free flowing jazz musicians. Enjoy this fellow from south Florida near Lake Okeechobee as he runs through about 20 different riffs over 4 1/2 minutes.
