Wild Raccoons Kids Playing With Balls

Mother Raccoon is raising four kits under my Backyard studio – raccoon babies are called kits or sometimes cubs. They are big enough now to forage with mom at night and the kits are exploring their new world and showing up regularly on the camera in the jungle behind the yard. Raccoons are intelligent, curious creatures and their unique front paws are super sensitive and dexterous for probing water for food. I knew if I put something in the water basin like a few goofballs they would be irresistible to the kits on their nocturnal rounds with mom and they would have some fun with them. They of course did not disappoint.
