The sound of an Eastern Towhee Singing for a mate in a late season snowstorm (and other songbirds btw) lifts the spirits and a red squirrel digging in the snow for some black oil sunflower seeds reminds us of the resilience and positive outlook of all our wild backyard friends. They don't live in the past or worry about the future they deal with one day at a time doing the best they can. For regular viewers you'll know I'm making a visit to Backyard North to check on the critters at high elevation.
