I Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain at 19,341 feet. The climb presented a significant challenge for me, with only about 50% of climbers successfully reaching the summit. The main difficulty stems from the reduced oxygen levels at high altitudes, causing potential altitude sickness and severe conditions like pulmonary or cerebral edema. To increase my chances of success, I chose Climb Kili, an experienced adventure climbing company with a 99% success rate. My journey involved careful route selection, opting for the 7-day Machame route for its gradual acclimatization, which helps prevent acute mountain sickness symptoms like nausea, headaches, and more serious complications.

Preparation was key, and my adventure began with travel to Tanzania and a gradual approach to the mountain. Each day presented unique challenges and stunning scenery, from lush rainforests to arid deserts. I experienced cold nights, physical strain, and relied on the support of guides and porters to navigate the difficult terrain. The ascent required both mental and physical endurance, culminating in the final push to the summit in freezing temperatures and high winds. Despite the hardships, reaching the top was an exhilarating achievement. The rapid descent that followed and the camaraderie shared among the climbers and our support team made the entire experience unforgettable.
