Rare Wild Black Melanistic Cottontail Rabbit Mini Documentary

A melanistic wild black cottontail rabbit was in Backyard North when I returned in mid-April and has been here since last fall. There is little information to be found on Google and no other realistic videos on YouTube that I could find although its known wild rabbit melanism can occur. This rabbit is thriving and acting just like the other Appalachian Cottontails in the Backyard and appears as she might be the mother to the springs first batch of normally brown rabbit kittens. Skittish and keeping mostly to the shadows of evergreens I'll slowly win her over with bird seed like the other cottontails.
I'll update you as I document this rabbit further.
